Holiday Home in Val d’Orcia Il Tigliolo is situated in the heart of the Val d’Orcia between San Quirico d’Orcia and Montalcino. Nestled in the Tuscan countryside, it is a splendid example of carefully restored 19th century rural architecture. The property boasts 6 apartments, each with separate entrances and private outdoor areas, and furnished in a comfortable style reflecting the architecture and environment. Guests have access to a large garden with a 7x15m swimming pool, areas for table The space The apartment is situated on the ground floor with private entrance from the courtyard (easily accessible for the disabled). It consists of a spacious living room with kitchenette (with oven) framed by a beautiful arch, full bathroom (with shower), and a bedroom. Located just a few steps down from the main floor is the master bedroom featuring an additional entrance from which you can enjoy a stunning view of the village of Montalcino. Outdoor area with table and umbrella. All rooms (bedrooms, kitchen, and bath) are equipped with window screens. Guest access SWIMMING POOL Under a century-old oak here is our pool (7*15 metres) with beds and umbrellas for our guests. LIBRARY We have recently begun collecting books for our guests to read while they are with us. There are books about our history and area as well as novels, classics, cookbooks, and a variety of hobbies. It is our goal to offer a selection of reading in a variety of languages that will enrich our guests’ moments of relaxation. Carrying a book into the garden and curling up under an oak or olive tree to read is definitely more inviting than staying inside the usual four walls of a house. MOUNTAIN BIKES We have 6 mountain bikes at your disposal at the price of 20 euro per week. Under request a tour guide may be available. Have a nice ride! BBQ AND TABLES Close to the pool there is a nice area with barbeque and tables where you can taste your own cooked meat! Of course we will be there to help if you need it. WI-FI FREE LAUNDRY Close to the reception there is a small laundry room. You will receive tokens (3 euro each) to use the washing-machines. There are also some clothes-horses. LINEN CHANGE AND EXTRA CLEANING If you need an extra change of linen, the price is 3 euro per person. Extra cleaning service costs 15 euro/hour. CERIMONIES AND MEETINGS Our beautiful location and the genuineness of our food makes Tigliolo the ideal place to celebrate weddings, birthday or graduation parties, anniversaries, or to organize business meetings. The capacity of our house (30-40 people) assures an excellent service. BOWLING GREEN, TABLE TENNIS AND TABLE FOOTBALL For children (but not only) we have a bowling green and table tennis and table football areas. We are sure children will appreciate! FIVE-A-SIDE, BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL FIELDS 50 metres away from the house (not to disturb guests who prefer resting and silence) there is a field suitable for amusing matches of five-a-side football, basketball and volleyball. TV HALL In order to get you out of “TV-addiction” we preferred not to put any TV into the apartments, but there is a nice 19th century hall with TV for those of you who cannot resist!
