Honeysuckle Cottage: a quintessential cottage

A private cottage hidden behind a hedge. Sit in front of the fire and relax with a glass of wine or spend time outside snoozing in a chair or under a tree or star gazing around the fire pit. Spend your time here relaxing or use it as a base to explore the beautiful Yass Valley and Hilltops region. Just over an hour from Canberra and three hours from Sydney. The space The cottage contains two bedrooms with queen-size beds and a bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower. The kitchen/living area is open plan and the fully-equipped kitchen separates the living room with a television and a sitting room with a fireplace. A dining room features a claw foot round table and balloon back chairs that seats four. There are plenty of options for enjoying outside, including sitting on the verandah and watching the sunset, enjoying a meal alfresco in the covered outdoor dining area with BBQ, reading a book on the garden bench, or chatting around the fire pit. ​ Every aspect of the cottage and its features have been curated to ensure a luxurious and comfortable retreat. Guests will enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine from a local winemaker Whitton Farm and are welcome to enjoy a glass of whiskey or gin from the drinks trolley. Breakfast provisions are provided, including free range eggs, sourdough, bacon and regional milk as well as cereals and condiments. Tea, ground coffee, and hot chocolate are also provided. ​ Beautiful candles are in each room to provide ambience and scents. In the colder months, there are plenty of woollen blankets to use inside and out. The sumptuous mattresses are of the highest quality and Australian- made. The beds are dressed in feather and down doonas and gorgeous linen with pillows that guarantee sound sleep. The living area has a 55inch 4K TV, Sonos soundbar and Netflix. Unlimited NBN WIFI and sound system. Guest access The cottage is in town and within easy walking distance of the pub and main street. Upon request pets will be able to stay at the property with you. They are not allowed in the house and can sleep on the verandah or in the outbuilding. Other things to note Make your trip entirely stress free and order food from @Yass2You - it will be delivered and in the cottage on your arrival. Alternatively, there is no supermarket in town so if you plan to cook we suggest you stop on the way. We also partner with @vanduvin - if you love Canberra region wines or are keen to sample them then book a private tour. You will be collected from the cottage, enjoy a day of wine tasting and lunch and be returned to the cottage. There is a swimming pool and golf course in town. It is important to note that life in the country includes roosters and birds that can be active in the morning. The cottage is also located in town so there are trucks travelling past the property. It does not bother most, but we note this if you are a light sleeper. If you are, you'll find earplugs in the bathroom. If you are travelling with your pet please ensure that you pick up after them.
