The Bungalow, Pantiya Estate, Sri Lanka is a lovely planter's colonial residence within a producing rubber, coconut and tea plantation. The space ROOMS: The Bungalow has 2 suite rooms with high ceilings and British colonial features. The suites have a double bed and an attached bathroom. Each suite room can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 kids or 3 adults purely due to their size and spaciousness. The 3 guestrooms are overlooking the pool. They are comfortably furnished with twin or double beds and have ensuite bathrooms. A long verandah outside the guestrooms with lounge chairs is the perfect setting to read your favourite book or just relax by the pool. All bathrooms have hot water showers, natural daylight, and ample space. LIVING AND DINING ROOMS: Inside The Bungalow, the living room is a haven with cosy sofas and antique furnishings from Sri Lanka and Germany. Likes of a deer antler chandelier and brass artifacts are not out of place in this tasteful space. With its grand solid oak 8 seater table and chairs, the dining hall is where our guests enjoy the scrumptious home cooked Eastern and Western cuisine. MEALS: We can provide meals during your stay. We have a fantastic cook who will cook for you depending on what you would like to eat each day. Please email us for prices. For dinner or lunch we can organise a barbeque in the garden or by the pool at an additional cost. Guest access Pantiya Estate is a fully functioning 10 acre rubber, coconut and tea plantation. This gives you the perfect opportunity to learn about these raw materials with the staff. Take part in the estate! Spend a morning with the tea pluckers as they identify the best leaves in the bush! OR an afternoon with the rubber tappers who expertly carve the barks of rubber trees with special chiseled knives, and collect rubber milk in coconut shells! Visit a rubber or tea factory! There is a functioning rubber and tea factory only 2 miles away from The Bungalow where you can see how tea is dried and packages or how rubber milk turns into elastic sheets! We can organise for a visit to these factory when you are staying with us! During your stay ACTIVITIES IN THE PREMISES Nature Trail walks - Take a casual stroll around The Bungalow or for the more adventurous a hike through the rubber estates, crossing streams, climbing rocks overlooking breathtaking views. From some points you can even see the twin towers of Colombo, Adam's Peak or the sea! Take part in the estate - we can organise for you to spend a morning with the tea pluckers as they identify the best leaves in the bush!
