Mellors Cottage is situated in the picturesque village of East Budleigh, best known as the birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh and the local pub is named in his honour. An ideal location for exploring the area, just 2 miles from Budleigh Salterton and the Jurassic coast foot path. The coastal town of Exmouth is just 6 miles away with stunning Estuary walks and miles beach. Woodbury common can be reached by foot as can beautiful walks along the river Otter - look out for Otters and Beavers. The space A traditional Cobb and thatched cottage built in the 18th century that retains its original charm. The cottage is furnished in the style of a typical cottage with lots of chintz and china! The accommodation is made up as follows: Kitchen which also includes washing machine. Two good sized double bedrooms Lovely light and airy bathroom with a powerful shower over bath, basin and toilet. Second W/C on the first floor. Pull out bed which can be set up in the dining room is stored under the bed in the main bedroom. Gas Central Heating. BT Wifi with BT Infinity tv with the sports package. Rear garden which is gravelled with patio area and seating. The Sir Waler Raleigh Pub is located next door to the property, this is a community run pub which offers excellent food, morning coffees and a quiet traditional pub where you can enjoy real ales or a gin and tonic. The pub does not have a tv or have music so it is a great place to relax and unwind. Guest access Guest will have exclusive use of the cottage. Other things to note There is no parking at the property but there is a free 23 hour car park 200 metres away in Hayes lane (Directly opposite the Sir Walter Raleigh Public House). Although there are double yellow lines outside the property I normally unload and then park the car. The Mobile phone reception is very poor in the village except for O2, however, if your phone is compatible to WiFi calling this is not an issue. There is a woodburning stove in the lounge which is purely decorate and the heating is such that is is definitely not needed.
