Welcome to Balê Aida! In the Pampango dialect “balê" means “house”. Built in honor of my mother, where we hope to create more beautiful memories with our big extended family and friends. It is a three-storey house located in the Menara Point South residential area of the Camaya Coast beach development property in Mariveles, Bataan. It is about 2.6 kilometers away from the Camaya Coast Beach Resort. Balê Aida is perfect for family or group gatherings in the midst of the pandemic. The space Our family cares deeply about the environment and this is reflected in how Balê Aida was built. To minimize our carbon footprint, we used polished concrete, second-hand wooden doors, and old wood for the furniture. Although AC units and ceiling fans are installed in all rooms, we invite you to open the sliding doors and windows to allow the fresh Camaya sea breeze to cool you instead. Just make sure you close the screens to keep off the many creatures that abound in the area due to the unpolluted surroundings. You might even be lulled to sleep or woken by the sounds of the friendly geckos that share the neighborhood. The ground floor of Balê Aida contains the living and dining areas, a fully-equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and toilet and shower. Three bedrooms are located on the second floor, as well as two toilets and showers. All four bedrooms are furnished with a total of 5 full-sized and 2 double-sized beds, that can comfortably sleep 7 to 14 persons. The beds were made on the high side, so please keep this mind in case you have babies or small children with you. When requested, additional full-sized floor mattresses can be provided. The third floor has the viewdeck (maximum capacity of 10-12 pax) that provides beautiful, panoramic views of the West Philippine Sea, Mount Mariveles, and the Bataan/Zambales mountain range. The viewdeck also offers you glimpses of striking sunrises and sunsets. You are welcome to do yoga, take naps, or have meals here if you like. Just make sure you bring your trash downstairs, and if you have children, please make sure you keep an eye on them closely while on the viewdeck. We invite you to make yourselves at home in Balê Aida as much as possible. We encourage you to leave your footwear outside or place them in the shoe cabinet provided in front of the stairs, and walk barefoot (or use bedroom slippers) within the house. A fully-functional kitchen with more than basic amenities is provided for your convenience. Cooking is allowed (although cooking smelly foods is NOT) and please make sure to turn on the exhaust fan while cooking and you immediately clean spilled foods (especially on the stove/oven) to avoid pests infestation. We provided adequate cooking and eating utensils so you don’t have to use plastic/disposable ones. A first-aid kit is available in one of the kitchen cabinets just in case. Just as you would (or should :- ) in your own home, kindly make sure you leave everything in their proper places and use the consumables prudently. All the artworks you see are souvenirs from our travels – they have low commercial value but high sentimental value: please enjoy looking at them and refrain from touching. Btw, the bigs shells and coral displayed are made of resin – please refrain from touching. The smalls ones in the glass vases were collected during our walks along Camaya beach – you can take a FEW as souvenirs if you like. Because we’re sort of OCs, we have an inventory of all items in the house (yes, including forks, spoons, bandaids, etc.). In case there is anything in the house you would like to buy/own, please feel free to let us know and we might be able to come to an arrangement or perhaps refer you to the supplier/s. Kindly respect the locks on some of the cabinets/rooms, which contains items for our family’s personal use only. Guest access The whole house is available to you, except for the locked cabinets. Other things to note Access to the beach is not included in the rental fee.
