Hidden down a secluded country lane, perfectly positioned to ‘get away from it all’ it’s surrounded by fields and has a beautiful enclosed flower garden, sun trap patio and hot tub. Just 4 miles equidistant between the small city of Truro and the north coast beach villages of Porthtowan, St Agnes and Perranporth. 1/2hr drive to Falmouth, St Michaels Mt , St Ives & the Eden Project, we’re ideal for day trips exploring Mid & West Cornwall. Ref: Stanley Farm website. The space In 1840 Stanley Farm was originally built as a Mine Captains house. In 2012 we purchased the farm and sympathetically extended the house to five bedrooms maximising the natural light and airy space, whilst retaining the character of the original old granite build. 5 bedrooms comfortably sleep 10 with double sofa bed upstairs for 2 additional guests if required. The large garden is a perfect suntrap, with BBQ and patio dining area with brand new rattan corner furniture. Fresh eggs and vegetables are available daily upon request. Hot tub for guest’s private use. A large pond with a variety of fish has a metal grid cover to protect guest’s safety. There is ample parking for vehicles. Fling open the doors and windows and listen to the bird song, spot the Roe deer, foxes and rabbits in the surrounding fields and watch the buzzards soaring above the house. Apart from the sound of the horse’s hooves and occasional distant traffic, it’s easy to forget how close you are to the main trunk road in Cornwall. Just wait until darkness falls and the stars come out, shooting stars, comets and satellites all visible on clear nights with only the subtle changing lights from the hot tub, a perfectly un-polluted sky provides the most awesome experience to enjoy with a glass of wine relaxing and soaking up the pleasures of the night sky. Downstairs an Entrance Hall welcomes you with a Boot Room and Cloakroom with downstairs toilet, perfect for de-robing after a long day on the beach and a Utility with 2 washing machines, tumble dryer and additional fridge/ freezer space. Our newly fitted granite surfaced kitchen provides you with all the amenities required, including Induction hob, Electric double oven and American style fridge freezer. Leading from the kitchen is our light and airy Lounge and Dining Area. A beautifully handmade table easily seats 12 people, the relaxed informal lounge area overlooks the garden with large window panes emphasising the protruding light. Large wall mounted flatscreen tv with Sky tv. Double French doors open out onto sunny patio area. A Snug room provides additional relaxed sofa space with flatscreen tv. Leading out to the Conservatory with seating, large table and board games for the rare damp day entertainment! Upstairs are 5 light and airy bedrooms, 2 ensuite and 1 additional separate shower room. The master bedroom with king size brass bed with white linen, overlooks the garden and paddocks, has dressing room, a large ensuite with double ended bath and separate shower. Two double bedrooms (one small double bed) with white linen, also overlook the garden area, one has a double sofa bed for 2 additional guests if required. One double bedroom with ensuite shower room overlooks the driveway and fields to front. One bunkbed room provides two small single beds perfect for children. Guest access Whole property except for one small locked room downstairs Other things to note Beach towels are not provided We request that guests do not enter fields with horses in them or attempt to feed the horses. Fences are electrified to keep horses in. If you would like to meet the horses we will be very happy to arrange this during your stay. Charging an electric car must always be agreed with owner in advance.
