Stylish, comfortable, 'petit' Chateau in Burgundy

Chateau d'Archambault is a beautiful chateau located just 1 km from the mediaeval city of Noyers-sur-Serein. With a beautiful swimming pool, the chateau is ideal for family reunions and holidays. Recently refurbished in an eclectic style and with lovely gardens it offers a perfect space for relaxation, culture, art and activities. There is also a magnificent 15 x 3m heated pool, with a cover it is possible to swim under and a pool house with sauna, toilet and showers. The space The château has around 480 square metres of habitable space. All has been restored and recently redecorated. Art and design lovers will enjoy the décor and eclectic combination of iconic pieces and attic finds. There is central heating throughout. -Fully equipped kitchen, with coffee machines, dishwasher, two ovens, grill, American style fridge/freezer, cooker with seven hobs and two kettles. Also, with crookery and tableware to make meals for over sixteen people. The ground floor is spacious, well organised and bright with mainly original parquet and stone floors and four interrelated reception rooms: -The dining room with two extendable tables available easily accommodate sixteen diners, furnishing by Parisian post war designer Maurice Rinck. -The Petit Salon: furnished mainly in original Biedermeier sofa and pieces with large screen TV/satellite and open fire -The Grand Salon: Large ballroom with Versailles parquet with furniture that can be moved to accommodate many events. - Jardin d’hiver: Veranda that can also be used for larger meals, with underfloor heating and radiators. The ground floor is completed by a Hall with cloakroom and WC. Upstairs, on the first floor there are Five bedrooms with double beds and ensuites. -Second Floor: Two bedrooms with double bed and ensuite, including Japanese suite with option for two single futons. Toy room with bunk bed, shared bathroom, utility room, library with sofa bed. Landing area that is especially suited to board game and jigsaw lovers. -Third Floor: Girls’ dormitory with two single beds and one double bed and shower in the room. Boys’ dormitory with two single beds and one double bed. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole of the Chateau. There is a gite 100 metres away that is rented separately. If you wish to accommodate more people, the gite can comfortably house five. The gîte may also be rented, and guests at the Château will have to share the park and swimming pool with gîte guests. Other things to note Sheets and bath towels are included. Toilet paper is included. The Château provides enough cookery, cutlery and crockery to host meals with over 20 people, as well as seating arrangements. The pool is at or above 24 degrees from March untill December. It is heated through a heat pump, so if it is very cold in March or December, the pool might not reach the desired temperature of 24 degrees. Bath towels are provided, but not pool towels. For every guest above 16 people, we ask for an extra charge of 30 euro per person per night.
