Description
Sunny, peaceful flat with views to the sea and Edinburgh. In a conservation building in the heart of Aberdour village - 5 mins walk to award-winning beach and 2 mins to station - 30 mins to centre Edinburgh; 45 mins to Edinburgh airport by bus/train. Superfast broadband (WiFi). Free parking close by. The space The flat is very peaceful and sunny with a pleasant outlook over mature gardens and out to sea, and the Edinburgh skyline. It is on the top floor of an old building from the 18th c. and is easily accessed from the main door on the High Street. NB there is a flight of stone stairs leading to the flat so this may not be suitable for people with mobility problems. The double bedroom is small but cozy and has a Velux window (remote controlled blackout blind), chest of drawers and walk-in wardrobe/cupboard, with ample storage for luggage, clothes etc. A hairdryer, iron and board are supplied. There is a small hallway, leading to an open plan sitting room and kitchen. The kitchen has a washing machine and fridge freezer and an electric hob cooker and oven, microwave oven, coffee makers, as well as a range of self-catering equipment. (Good quality Bosch appliances.) NB there is no dishwasher. The sitting room has a writing desk overlooking the gardens, towards the sea. (Superfast wifi.) There is a comfortable three seater sofa and a bookcase with various board games and local information, coffee table and a small Samsung Smart HD TV (Amazon Prime, Chromecast etc) and a DVD player (lots of films to borrow). There are SONOS wifi speakers and digital radios. Hot water is provided by a traditional boiler in a cupboard off the sitting room, though there is an electric shower (instant) and heated towel rail. The bathroom is retro-styled and has a corner bath, with an over bath shower. The flat has new (2022) wall mounted oil filled electric heating which are on a thermostat. There is quite a large garden, some of which is shared, including a drying green (clothes line and pegs), and private areas for your exclusive use. There is space to leave bikes securely either in the garden/courtyard or in the passage way. Parking - there is a large, overnight public car park at the station which is about 100 metres from the flat. You can also often find spaces on the street immediately outside the flat. All parking in the village is free. Guest access The flat has its own private entrance but has a shared staircase/entrance at street level. Access to bedding, kitchen equipment and utensils, bathroom towels, soap and shower gel. Private garden access with space for bikes. Spare set of golf clubs, tennis equipments and bikes may be available free, depending on timing and on request. Free, unlimited superfast WiFi broadband - over 50mbps Free off street parking 100 metres: on street, within 50 metres. Other things to note Self check-in via keybox is available.
