The Suburban Pod, Oughterard

If you're into camping with a bit more security, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to a Hotel, the Pod is not a good choice. Average price for a hotel room is €180. It's not the Ritz but it has character. Located in our front yard, not in a field - hence the name 'Suburban Pod'. Let's talk about the shower - it is squat and the hot water will suffice for a shower but not a 20 minute shower. Please don't leave a two star review because of the shower. The space A minutes walk from the pod you will find a local shop and a great little Café. There are several restaurants with outdoor seating and two other grocery stores located in the town which is only a five minute stroll. Guest access There is onsite parking. Turning right at our gates will take you on a fabulous walk called the golden mile, with access to a foot bridge across the river and back around to the Shrubbery where you can sit at the river's edge. Other things to note The Pod is non-smoking but outside of the Pod is no problem. We have a zero tolerance policy for illegal drug use.
