Our 'Still Waters' Mongolian Yurt is located in an Avocado Grove in the sunny Bay of Plenty and is only a short walk away to the Thornton Beach. 'Still Waters' is situated amongst the Grove and overlooks a pond which adds to the peaceful and tranquil setting. The space The Yurt is a 7m diameter Mongolian design durable canvas tent. The design has roots in Mongolian nomadic culture where tents are capable of being deconstructed and reinstated in a new location on the same day whilst also being a comfortable, warm and durable place to live. Our yurt is fully insulated but for added comfort a heat pump/air conditioner has been installed. 'Still Waters' is a beautiful place to relax with all your requirements taken care of. Soak in the spa, while enjoying your favourite cheeses and beverages. Experience cooking your own pizza in an old fashioned pizza oven or you may prefer a gas BBQ. The Yurt is beautifully laid out with a king sized bed and bunk beds discreetly hidden behind a screen. All the luxuries can be supplied including Netflix, a record player and Wifi. Walk through a covered walkway to your kitchen and Shower area. 'Still Waters' is idyllically situated over the water offering a unique accommodation experience. Whatever the occasion... a weekend away with a friend, the ultimate date night, fun family experience, fishing weekend, wedding elopement, honeymoon destination, gift for a loved one... we would love to share our piece of paradise with you! Guest access Guests will have full access to the yurt and its facilities. Also they have access to a private walking track which leads from the yurt, through the orchard and down to the beach.
