Te Kohanga Eco Lodge was built in 2019 and is only minutes' walk from the beach at Karehana Bay in Plimmerton, a popular beach destination with its own cafe culture. In the winter, the eco lodge is heated using infrared heating panels on the ceiling. The heating is pre-set for your comfort and will provide you with the same kind of warmth that you would expect in a European house in the winter. The space There are two steps down to the front door from the driveway, but there is otherwise flat access to the ground floor from the driveway. Te Kohanga is close to a stream and is not suitable for children under 5 years of age. German-speaking guests are more than welcome: your host also speaks fluent German. Guest access Guests have access to a large deck next to the lounge and master bedroom. They also can use a small deck and lawn accessible from the kitchen.
