El Palomar I - country house for 6/8 people

El Palomar I is a spacious and bright house located in the natural setting of a farm 1.5 km from the towns of La Losa and Ortigosa el Monte (northern slope of the Sierra de Guadarrama), 15 km from Segovia and 74 km from Madrid. A perfect place to enjoy at any time of the year with friends, family, children... Pets are welcome. The space The first floor has two double bedrooms and a bathroom, the rest (100m2 of floor space) are living areas differentiating a TV area, another study area with a desk and another with a sofa bed. The garden surrounding the house has a garden table and a covered barbecue with a light source. There is a beautiful private saltwater pool in El Palomar I. The house has heating, radiators in all rooms, and it is very easy to maintain a comfortable temperature, both in summer and winter. The house is inside a private estate of 3 hectares, with swings and many pleasant corners for walking and for children to enjoy. Completely fenced in stone and surrounded by livestock farms (cows and horses) Inside the house you will find all kinds of amenities, a well-equipped kitchen for your gastronomic days: ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, express pot, toaster, Italian coffee maker, kettle, juicer... The rooms are warm in winter and cool in summer. In the garden there is a barbecue with light and roof, sun loungers, table and garden chairs. The garden area has irrigation in summer. The rest of the property is very nice with lots of trees and magical corners. I usually receive my guests to resolve any possible doubts on the day of arrival. During your stay I will be available in case there is a setback, any questions... I will be available by phone and WhatsApp, and since I live nearby I can come by if necessary. We are on the hillside just between two villages, Ortigosa del Monte and La Losa. You can walk to both - 1.5 km - to shop or have a drink (there is a supermarket, bars, pharmacy, butchers) From the house you can walk to the Berrocal (natural area) or the Hermitage of San Pedro (from the 12th century) along roads surrounded by livestock fences, between ash, holm and oak trees. The Real Sitio de Riofrío is 3 km away, with its Baroque Palace surrounded by 650 hectares of forest that can be visited by walking along the Senda del Mirador. It has two picnic areas where you can spend the day watching fallow deer, deer and over 50 species of birds. The Royal Site of La Granja de San Ildefonso, with the Palace, the famous Gardens with fountains and water games, is 15 km away. The village has many restaurants and is in a perfect location for walking, horseback riding or cycling routes. From EL PALOMAR you can visit Segovia, a World Heritage city, 15 km away, and eat at any of the famous steakhouses and then tour the old town: Cathedral, Alcazar and Aqueduct are the 3 main destinations but the path between them reveals a city with wonderful corners. For the more active, the area offers many possibilities, with the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, the Valdesquí and Navacerrada ski slopes, the Fuentemilanos airfield, hot air balloon rides, mountain biking, running, trekking... It's advisable to come by car to visit the area. There are buses to Segovia with La Sepulvedana and commuter train. The AVE station is 15 minutes away. One vacation option is to rent electric bikes to have during your stay or for day trips.
