Loads of footpaths for walking & cycle tracks – maps in the cottage or download before you arrive. Amazing wildlife & especially good for bird watching. Ideal for holidays & workers alike especially if after peace & quiet. We are only approx 25mins from Porthcawl & Ogmore by Sea & also convenient to Barry Island – the home of Gavin & Stacey! An easy run to the Brecon Beacons National Park & the famous Pen y Fan mountain walk! Zip World is a lovely scenic drive from us in under 30mins too. Bike Park Wales & Afan Bike Park within easy reach. Plenty of space to tend to & store bikes when you get back. Cycle Track only a few minutes away. McArthur Glen Designer Outlet is only 10mins away, as is a plentiful array of supermarkets. Nice local pubs in the area for food (2 within a 2mins drive – or a relaxing walk) Loads of local activities within the area such as children’s play areas, Bryngarw Country Park, Margam Park (Go Ape), Zip World, Wiggleys Fun Farm to name but a few. Cardiff of course the vibrant capital city can be reached in 25mins – Cardiff Bay hosts many activities as well as the Wales Millennium Centre – plus the Motorpoint Arena. Also easy for Rugby & Football matches (train station within 15mins with links to Cardiff), Slightly further afield but all easily do able for a day trip Brecon Beacons National Park, National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Big Pit, Tenby & Saundersfoot, Crickhowell, Penarth, Barry Island, the Gower Peninsula, Laugharne, Caerleon, Chepstow. If you enjoy horse racing both race courses in Wales are easily accessed & advice can be given on attending. The list is endless! We get many repeat guests who never tire of the area & always find plenty to do! We also get many guests who simply want to relax from their busy lives & we are a great hideaway but easy to get to & within reach of many facilities should you so need them! Separate Parking outside the cottage Other things to note **Sadly the property is unsuitable for infants 2 years & under, due to no stair gates, cots etc & a large stone hearth. No stag/hen parties sorry & no third party/extra guests. ●ELECTRIC VEHICLES. pls note there is no charging of electric vehicles allowed without prior arrangement with us. There is a large charging facility nearby. **No smoking or vaping please - pls ask if an ashtray is needed for outdoor use ■Upstairs has TWO SINGLE beds but are zip & link so can be made into a KING on request. We are in the countryside & surrounded by other farms, so you will hear the odd sheep or horse. Lots of footpaths are gravel & mountain tracks, so proper footwear & clothing is advised. We have a boot room & coat hanger in the porch.
