Fabulous medieval chateau, idyllic country setting

Medieval chateau with a modern twist. Perfect for extended family holidays and celebrations. Stylishly and comfortably furnished and set in a beautiful garden with pool. Close to amenities but with no near neighbours, it offers complete tranquility. The space Chateau de Puissentut is a wonderfully warm and welcoming house. It is perfect for large family holidays and special occasions. While the outside is rustic and medieval the inside has a modern twist with designer furniture from the 50s and 60s and stylish, modern 'scandanavian' furniture. All furnishings and textiles are high quality and very comfortable. The 10 double bedrooms are all en-suite and 2 are accessible for people in wheelchairs. 6 of the double bedrooms can be changed to twins. Extra beds, mattresses, children's beds and cots can be provided on request for a small additional fee (please enquire). There are two lounges. The upstairs lounge has television, DVD, satellite and stereo. In the downstairs lounge you can comfortably use wifi. The house is fully fitted for internet but because of the thickness of the stone walls wifi is only accessible in certain areas (with an airport you can have wifi in all the bedrooms). The dining room comfortably sits 30 people. For outside eating there are additional tables and chairs. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery. The professional kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of pans, utensils etc. There are 3 fridges, 1 in the kitchen and 2 in the food storage room. There is a professional dishwasher which washes dishes in a couple of minutes. There is no microwave. There is a washing machine. Outside there are several terraces to sit or sunbathe and there is plenty of space in the pretty, flower-filled garden to find a quiet spot while children enjoy playing on the large lawn. The swimming pool is surrounded by a large sun terrace, bordered by flowers. The pool is great for children and adults alike. At the shallow end it is approximately 90cms deep and at the deep end approximately 190cms deep. There are plenty of chairs and sun loungers as well as inflatable toys for the kids. There are parasols to provide shade. Close to the pool is a bar with a fridge. For safety there is a pool cover. This can easily be placed by 2 adults. This cover is strong enough to walk on. There is no fence around the pool. The entire ground floor of the house is accessible for people in wheelchairs. Guest access Guest have access to the entire house and have exclusive access to the back garden and pool. Other things to note In the garden there is a barbeque and a juice/wine bar. We have a dog. He is very friendly and extremely gentle. He likes to visit guests staying at the house but if you think this might be a problem then please do let us know and we'll make sure he is kept away from the house.
