Kai's Beach House Villa ... Absolute beach front!

Looking for some thing different? .....perhaps a funky beach house with a plunge pool and your own mini beach in front ? Boasting great views and sunsets , we are absolute beach front and in the midst of the lively sunset scene. We have a sunset bar and resto next door . The space Kai's Beach House is made mainly of wood and has a funky "shabby chic" look! Right on the beach and there's a full sunset show every night. We are a 3 bedroom house (two bedrooms upstairs & the third stands alone in the garden. With a fully equipped kitchen and an open plan lounge area with huge sofa and flat screen smart TV,as well as small gardens back & front & a plunge pool to cool off in. The downstairs bedroom also has a smart TV. Each bedroom has a super comfy large bed, Air Con & semi open en suite bathroom, so you can shower under the palm trees ...or even the stars! You can cook at home or we have a hotel with a restaurant on one side and another restaurant on the other side 2 mins walk away. Other restaurants are a walkable distance or a short bicycle ride away. We also have menus for lunch and dinner delivery too. The reef allows the sea to the beach for half of the day, so sometimes its too shallow to swim in front of the house....then its time to explore the rock pools! There are no cars on the island but horse drawn carts / "cidomos" are available all day and can sometines be booked in the evening, (ask the house keepers). Bicycles are a great way to get around We provide drinking water, breakfast and beach towels & our friendly staff are ready to help you. We ask that you do not bring any plastic bottles or bags to leave at Kai's Beach House thanks . Activities available on Gili Air ;_ Diving: is a main attraction on Gili Air and there are many first class dive schools on the island for all levels. Snorkeling: You don't have to dive to see the colourful reefs and turtles ..you can stay on top and snorkel too! Masks and fins can be hired form several places on the island. Surfing: Join the locals on the break off the SE of the island. Although the waves are nowhere are big as Kuta Lombok, they can still sometimes be surfed. Boat Rentals: Hire a boat for the day and go island hopping with some snorkeling stops out at sea on the way. There are many local style boats for hire and fishing trips are available too. A great trip is with the glass bottom boat that guarantees you see a turtle! Golf: The Kosaido Country Club is an 18 hole championship golf course in Lombok and is just a 15 min boat ride away from Gili Air. It's a great coarse for golfers of all levels. Bicycle rides: Hire a bike and explore the island. There are some great little paths to find that lead you into the village. The friendly locals will help with directions, so you wont get lost! Beach parties: Gili Trewanagan is the "party island" whilst Gili Air remains its "laid back neighbour". However there are a few beach parties & live music venues.The trunks of the palm trees act as billboards, as flyers are posted on them! So keep a look out to find out whats happening on the island. Lombok: Trips to the much larger and very beautiful island of Lombok are available too.The stunning Sendang Gila Waterfall or traditional pottery & basket villages are popular destinations. Lombok is also home to the second highest volcano in Indonesia- Mount Rinjani and treks to the top can be organised over 2 or 3 days. Stick fighting, music and dance performances are also great attractions. Or you can just relax and hang in the hammock at Kai's Beach House!!! Guest access Access is right of the main beach track around the island. A10 minute horse cart ride from the main port of arrival Other things to note There are power cuts in Gili Air and they can be frequent, we do however have a small manual generator and emergency lights at the house. We are on the Sunset Scene ... beach can be busy at this time with music on beach until 8.30 pm / 9 pm. The small house at the back , through gate marked private , is for staff only. We are in front of a sea reef, so we only have high tide for swimming for half the day …the times change due to the tides.
