The space swissSTAR - private room with shared bath swissSTAR is a Bed&Breakfast owned and managed by its swiss owner. This B&B has a total of 8 rooms. The 3 BASIC rooms that share one big bathroom. All rooms are equipped with a small fridge and a mini safe. Internet via WLan can be used in the whole B&B for free. In addition, there is a PC with internet access available for all guests - also free of charge. The room offered has a nice view to the river Fontanka. It is equipped with 2 single beds, a wardrobe, 2 bed-side tables and a small writing desk. Hairdryer, fan and iron are provided upon request. The big, fully equipped kitchen can be used by all the guests at any time. The kitchens seats 8-10 persons and is equipped with air-conditioning. Also the phone in the kitchen can be used for local phone calls for free. The hostel is located in the historical city center on Naberezhnaya Reki Fontanki. This is the area where Dostoyevsky "Crime and Punishment" is taking place.. It is a perfect location, ca. 200m from the 3 subway stations "Sadovaya Ulitsa" and "Ploshad Sennaya" and "Spasskaya". There are many nice restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and banks (to change money) around the hotel. Thus if you need something, you will definitely find it here. The famous Sennoy-market where farmers products are sold, is just around the corner. And 2 big shopping centers are near by. One has a huge 35-lane bowling on the top floor. The other a multiplex cinema (10 rooms). Very important too, there is a small 24h supermarket in the buildings ground floor. Just in case you feel like having a beer or a snack in the middle of the night... The main attractions of the city are also very close by. Isaac's Cathedral, Hermitage, Nevskiy Prospekt, and many other destinations are within walking distances (15-30 minutes) Basic prices indicated are for a single room with shared bath. This price includes breakfast. Tea/coffee is also available for free all day. Shampoo and shower gel are provided for free as well.
