Sri Lanka was known in the past as Sivi Helaya. It is the opinion of historians that Sri Lanka was ruled by the tribes of Yaksha, Naga, Deva and Raaksha with mutual connections but separately. Sri Pada which is considered one of the ancient Kingdoms in the Central Hills was ruled by a member of the tribe Deities named Sumana saman. Even today it is known as the Sumana Saman Site. The space The Central Highlands World Heritage Site, declared by the United Nations, encompasses the Sri Pada Wilderness Sanctuary. The Sri Pada forest reserve is a hot sport for biodiversity, rich with indigenous flora and fauna.
