Cosy, comfortable, traditional tenement flat

Quiet flat, well located, easy access from airport and Haymarket train station. Take a bus or walk into the city in just 15-20 minutes. Ideal for all couples (or close friends). Guests have the whole flat at their disposal: large bedroom with double bed; bathroom with shower and bath; well equipped kitchen adjoins to comfortable lounge; box-room available for storage. The space The flat is set within a traditional Scottish tenement building, and is over 100 years old dating from the early 1900's. It is ideal for seeing Edinburgh, easy to get to from the airport, train station (Haymarket) or motorway. From the flat you can take one of many buses or a short walk (15-20 minutes) to major attractions such as the Castle, or the Old Town. Tucked away down a cobbled side street off the main road the flat is quiet and peaceful, with amenities such as buses, supermarkets, restaurants and bars close by. The flat itself is a cosy, comfortable and well-equipped home: The large bedroom contains a double-bed with new mattress and feather pillows - bed linen is provided ; there is a rocking chair to relax in while taking in the view from the window. Within the lounge there is a sofa for relaxing, and folded table for eating. Entertainment includes a variety of books about Scotland; a wealth of tourist info pamphlets including maps; cards and games; digital radio with alarm; a DVD player with a selection of films - you are welcome to bring your own films and CD's to enjoy. The well-equipped kitchen contains everything you need to cater for yourselves: fridge, cooker/stove, microwave, crockery, cutlery etc. There is a washing machine with detergent provided. Basics can be found in the cupboards/fridge and include tea, coffee, sugar, milk, orange juice, and porridge for breakfast, together with other bits and pieces. If you don't fancy cooking take-away menus can be found in the drawer below the cooker or order from 'Just Eat' on the internet. The bathroom contains a bath with shower, and toilet. Towels are provided. Basic toiletries can be found in the cabinet. If you need an umbrella, iron and ironing board, extra toilet paper, or the vacuum these can all be found in the cupboard in the hall next to the bathroom. Safety aspects include a smoke alarm, carbon-dioxide detector, a First Aid box (in the bathroom on top of the cabinet), and a fire blanket in the kitchen. The property has an annual gas safety check certificate for the boiler and gas hob. Guest access The whole flat is available for guests - no-one else will be there when you are. Other things to note Please note that the flat is on the third floor so there are stairs to climb (no lift). The stairs are well lit night and day. Tenement properties house a number of flats so the stairs are shared/communal; the property is entirely private. Please be aware that the stairwell is communally maintained by the council and is 100 years old - all quite usual for Edinburgh tenements.
