The room is located on the first floor overlooking the stunning heated pool, gardens and countryside beyond. The space La Vieille Gorce Chambres d'Hotes is a mid 18th century farmhouse sympathetically refurbished, retaining much of the original character such as exposed stone walls, wooden beams and a beautiful oak staircase, whilst providing all the comforts of a modern home. The peaceful and idyllic countryside location makes La Vieille Gorce a perfect destination to relax and unwind. Outside there is approximately 1 acre of grounds including the pool and pool terrace. There is a large table with a parasol on the breakfast terrace which can also be used in the evenings for a picnic and/or relaxing in the shade. Extra seating is provided in the orchard to sit and watch the sunset. The historic town of Charroux is only 5 kms away where you will find shops, bars and restaurants. The larger towns of Civray, Confolens and Ruffec are all within easy reach. Guest access There is a shared salon on the first floor with a refrigerator and microwave. Enjoy your breakfast either in the salon or outside on the terrace overlooking the pool. Other things to note La Vieille Gorce is ideal for solo travelers, couples or friends traveling together. If you are traveling by car, motor bike or bicycle we can accommodate your needs. Situated in the beautiful Vienne countryside, yet only 5 minutes to all local amenities (fresh bread, shops, bars and restaurants). Directly outside the farmhouse are numerous walking and cycle paths taking you past fields of sunflowers, neighbouring chateaux, charming villages, rivers and woods. Parking is available and free of charge next to the property.
