Awaken your pioneering spirit as you enjoy the natural beauty, Pioneer Village, Interpretive Center and award-winning museum in this historic getaway. Located within Wabash and Erie Canal Park, which contains a 1.5-mile section of the famous 1840’s canal. You’ll want to spend some time hiking or riding on some of the miles of scenic trails that surround the area. More… The space Rustic log cabin (9’ x 7’ room size) with a bunk bed frame (each bed 73” x 26”.) There is a small table and chairs. There are no other amenities like electricity, water, or air conditioning. Shared modern restrooms and shower are just 50 yards away. Bring your own air mattresses, bedding, cooler, lighting and other needed items… just like tent camping. Guest access Lots of free parking in Canal Park. Two vehicles allowed at the cabin site. Other things to note This is an authentic, historic cabin donated to the park by local people, and restored by volunteers. Enjoy your stay, and please leave the cabin ready for the next pioneer :-)
