The space This striking, independent studio guesthouse (built in 2014) is set on a peaceful mountainside, immersed in unspoiled Sicilian nature, yet just 1 km of paved road and 500 m of country lane from the village of Lascari—only 3 km from the nearest beach and a short drive to historic Cefalù. You’ll feel immersed in nature while still being close to the coast and local villages. Enjoy scenic walks through breathtaking terrain filled with typical Sicilian flora, fruit and nut trees, and ancient olive groves. A small river borders the property and can be visited year-round—flowing from October to July. A local goat herder often passes by with his herd, and fresh Sicilian ricotta can be ordered when in season. The estate is also home to our friendly wolf dog Saskia, her cat companions, two gentle donkeys, cheerful hens, a friendly rooster, and occasionally our neighbour’s horse—adding to the natural charm and peaceful atmosphere. Other things to note Please be aware that the last 500 m to our unique and wonderful guest house is on a country road that is uneven in places, yet fairly straight along the side of a valley. Like most country roads in Sicily they offer some adventure. In the winter you may want to use the pellet stove. We provide you with half a bag of pellets/day which is plenty for heating the guesthouse in the morning and in the evening. In case you want more, we will happily supply you with an extra bag of high-quality AAA+pellet for € 7.-. Please note that since June 2019 a tourist day tax has been implemented also for the city of Cefalu'. Hence, we will have to ask you to pay the respective sum of £1.-/day/pers. with a max of £ 5.-/per stay/pers. upon your arrival.
