Description
This small but cosy urban townhouse is a stones-throw from the trendy & vibrant village of Ranelagh, which has many supermarkets, restaurants, café's, a gym, an arthouse cinema, park, etc. Just south of the city, it's a very safe area in general, with lots of families living around, and is only a mere 20 minutes walk, or 5-10 mins cycle to the city centre. The Luas tram, which is very frequent, is 3 minutes walk from the house, and will get you into the city in less than 10 minutes. The house is decorated in a Swedish and minimalist style throughout, and all has been thoughtfully designed with comfort and practicality in mind. We ask all guests to bear in mind that this is a shared & lived-in house, so while we keep it very clean, it will never be spotless. Guests have access to all common spaces, including shared bathroom/shower room, living room and kitchen. Guests have access to all kitchen amenities, which include a fan oven, hobs, pots, pans, toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge etc. but must adhere to the rule not to bring animal foods into the house to eat, cook or keep. Smokers cannot smoke in the house, but can smoke outside the door, where there is a bench for comfort. The hosts aim to give you as much personal space as you want, and, whenever time allows, are happy to also engage with those who like more interaction. We are happy to give recommendations and help out as much as we can. Please communicate clearly any needs and we will do our best to meet them. Ranelagh is a wonderful, safe and very affluent neighbourhood, with lots of beautiful old Georgian architecture. Close to the city, yet with a unique vibe of its own. It is close to the village of Rathmines, which has a shopping centre, health stores, cafe's, churches, a library, swimming pool & gym (pay as you go), etc. The area is close to concert venues like the Three Arena, RDS, National Concert Hall, Croke Park, The Aviva Stadium, Whelans, Vicar St, etc. Depending on your booking dates, parking could be made available, however, unless you plan on travelling around the country, you will not need a car to stay in Ranelagh. There are also hire bikes 5 minutes walk from the house, and GoCar car hire pick up points are close by, who allow free parking around Dublin. Our home is 2 minutes walk from the tram line, which runs a frequent service. At the bottom of our road you can catch a bus to the Dart (train) station. If arriving to Dublin Airport jump on the 700 Aircoach which leaves from the airport, and alight at The Burlington Hotel stop on Leeson Street. The house is approximately 10-15 mins walk.
