The Garden Room @ Church Farm, Hartham, near Bath

Church Farm and the accommodation in the Barn are set in a tranquil and picturesque corner of North Wiltshire, close to Bath. We are a working dairy and beef farm. The Garden Room is a ground floor bedroom in the Barn next to our Farmhouse and has another room adjacent. The room offers ensuite shower/toilet facilities, kitchenette, table & chairs, TV, CH, WIFI and there are wonderful views across park and farmland from this site. We are situated 4 miles from Chippenham and 8 miles from Bath. The space This B&B is located in a rural hamlet with outstanding views across Hartham Valley. We have walks and cycling from the door with lots of wildlife to see. Also close are quintessentially English villages like Lacock and Castle Combe. This room is light and airy and can be used for single, double or twin occupancy. This bedroom is on the ground floor with easy access from the drive. There is off-road parking next to the guest bedroom. The Stable End bedroom is adjacent and guests share the patio area outside. You can easily visit all the Wiltshire attractions and pop to Bath in 20 mins. Come and breathe the fresh country air and relax in the pretty countryside. Guest access The Garden Room has a King Size bed ( 6' x 6'6"), ensuite shower room and kitchenette. Also provided is a TV, WIFI , CH and lovely views. The accommodation can also be arranged as a twin room with 2 x 3' single beds. Guests will be given a key for access to the bedroom. The ground floor rooms have French Doors which open out on to a grassy patio area with tables and chairs for days when the weather is nice. In the bedroom there is a kitchenette with kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave, so guests can prepare breakfast. All crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided. There is also a table and chairs which can be used for office work as well as dining. We are located up a private drive with free off-road parking, so it is very quiet and convenient. During your stay I usually greet guests and check them in to the bedrooms and explain where everything is located. However, if preferred I am happy to leave a key, so guests can access the room themselves and someone is nearby to answer any queries. Guests often ask us about eating out locally and for tips about all the tourist attractions and walks in the area. We are always happy to help with in this way. There is Guest Book in the room and it has lots of local information and interesting history of the area. Guests can check out themselves, but we do ask that they leave the room by 10.30 am. Late check-outs can also be arranged, if discussed with us first. Other things to note There are only 2 rooms that we offer at Church Farm and therefore never more than 4 guests here at any time. Rooms are offered on Room Only basis but with teas and coffees provided. If requested ahead, I can stock milk in the fridge for arrival. The kitchenette has kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave as well as crockery, cutlery and glasses. Accommodation would suit people working in the area, commuters or those who just want a rest in a peaceful setting. I am trying to be Green with this business and have an Environmental Policy which means that all laundry is done in-house, bedding and towels are dried on the line, rather than in a Tumble Drier and consequently towels are not soft and fluffy. I also try to recycle as much as possible and re-fill washing liquids etc Please be aware we are a working farm and there are dogs and other animals around. You may also encounter insects from time to time, due to being surrounded by farmland. Please note there are now a smaller number of accessories in the room, so you will need to bring your own toiletries etc. A First Aid Kit is not provided in the room, but in the main house on request.
