Aranga Farm Stay

Our property is a working beef farm, so you will hear and see daily activities. The section is fully fenced. The porch gives a nice view of the valley. The pool is available from mid December to mid March usually. Kai Iwi Lakes 20-25 minutes drive and the Maunganui Bluff Beach 10 minutes. Note: 4 km of metal road off S H 12 to reach the house. No Wifi/Good mobile phone reception/Free-view TV Dargaville is the closest place for shopping and eating out. The space A relaxing place surrounded by farm life and nature. This house has been in our family through four generations. Built between 1904-1905 from kauri timber. Other things to note Booking for 7 guests in only available in the warmer months of the year. The little sunroom with a single bed is a add on to the room that has the two single beds. Please bring towels for the swimming pool. If visiting Kai Iwi lakes its a good idea to bring a sun umbrella or a shade tent as shade is limited. If you are keen on spotting a kiwi at Trounson Kauri Park bring a head torch or a torch with some red cellophane. The closest shops and eating places are either in Dargaville or Oponoui/Omapere or the Kaihu Tavern. Our farm shed is near the house. At times stock (Bulls) go up and down the driveway as we moved them to paddocks or the yards. The pool may close down if there is a drought or some other water problem. Providing water to our animals is top priority.
