No cleaning fee, minimum 2 night stay. Cabin is a bedroom only, toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning, sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated. The space We only take 1 person or group at a time for your privacy, although there may be other river users, some of whom will get out of the river below the cabin. Swimming at your doorstep. Magical starry skies to gaze at with your significant other, as there is very little artificial light. Families are welcome but please be aware that there is NO barrier to the (usually approx 1 metre deep and hardly moving) river. Not suitable for infants/toddlers. Also can only sleep 5 in cabin, presuming queen bed is shared, extras are welcome with their own tent/caravan. The kitchen has all cooking equipment, cutlery, plates etc, 1 burner gas element and a lid barbeque. Fridge and power in cabin. canoe and gazebo in pictures belong to previous guests. Guest access Flush toilet behind cabin and for groups there also a long drop. Hot shower with dressing room. Outdoor kitchen. Other things to note All linen and duvets supplied. Crockery, plates, pots and pans all supplied for 5 people. Canoe and gazebo in photos belong to guests and are not part if the deal. NO wifi at cabin but free wifi in Taumarunui township.
