A brand new one bedroom apartment above a charming family home called Old Chilli House, located just 10 minutes walk from Wijaya beach This is a very comfortable apartment with an air-conditioned double bedroom, en-suite bathroom with hot water The Apartment at Old Chilli House is a newly built annexe to a very charming old Sri Lankan family home. The Apartment is located at the front of Old Chilli House, on the upper level, with views overlooking the lush, green countryside and a totally private setting. The apartment, is a single self contained apartment suitable for a couple, or a young family with a child. A baby's cot can be provided if required. In the bedroom is a large King sized double bed, with very comfortable spring mattress, and mosquito net with en-suite hot water shower. The bedroom is air-conditioned although the room can be also cooled by ceiling fan. There is a surcharge of Rs.500per day if the air-conditioning is required. Please pay directly to me at the apartment if this is required. A fully equipped kitchen with a gas cooker, all kitchen appliances and all cutlery, crockery and glassware is provided. Guests will have access to the entire apartment. If required, guests may request for simple breakfasts or curries which can be provided at a small additional charge. Guests can get in touch with the host, or the host's family who lives at Old Chilli house anytime at all should any assistance or advise is required, or for any other reasons. Maharamba Road is a road which runs from Unawatuna to dalawella beach and Mihiripenna, and there are many private homestays and guest houses in this area. It is particularly popular with those wanting to be close to the beach. There are many popular bars and restaurants at the beaches, and groceries can easily be bought from the stores close by. The beach,surfing,scuba diving,yoga shala and a cool laid back cafe restaurant and bar scene are just minutes drive away. Wijaya Beach, which is about 2 minutes by scooter or tuk tuk, is a lovely beach with protected read that is safe for swimming. A lot of our guests love spending time at this beach. Right at this beach is the Wijaya Beach Restaurant where one can have delicious cocktails and meals including fabulous thin crust pizzas from their pizza oven. The popular Unawatuna Beach is just 5 minutes away by scooter or tuk tuk. There is a wide range of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops for those wanting a more lively experience. For those wanting a more interesting nightlife, there are various bars and nightclubs along Unawatuna Beach. The UNESCO world heritage site of galle fort is 15 minutes away and head inland you can explore miles of beautiful paddy field.. Tuk tuks and scooters can be hired very easily, and the apartment is close to the main road where buses can be caught to Galle and Galle Fort, and also to other towns along the southern coast. A welcome basket of breakfast essentials like fresh fruit, milk, coffee, tea, and drinking water will be provided.
