Our first floor suite. The space The Cow Shed is a hand built (by us) barn set in a rural location surrounded by its own acreage. The suite faces the field with nothing but the cows and wildlife walking by. The room itself is light and airy with a super king bed and fresh white bedding. Opposite the bed is the dining table and chairs that easily seats 4 and the sofa. The sofa is the second bed and converts to a king and is plenty big enough for two. We provide: salt, pepper and oil for cooking. Tea, coffee (cafetiere & instant), sugar and milk. Day fresh eggs (when available) can be purchased for £2 per half dozen and we can make homemade bread at £1.50 per loaf. There is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and shower caps. Ladies, you'll find sanitary products in the wardrobes and please do not flush anything other than human waste and toilet paper. There is an iron and board in the room. Although best suited for a getaway for 2, we do welcome children of all ages (and have had many stay here) and can provide bedding, cots, highchairs, toys and books. The outside space is yours to use and we have no objection to children using our garden which has swings, slide and a pool (summer use only). During the summer months, it is likely we will have a bouncy castle/water slide in the garden. At your own risk and supervised by the parent/guardian, the children are free to use it. You are welcome to walk around but would ask you are careful. Due to the nature of the location we have lots of barbed wire fencing and working machinery around. We are happy to show you around the farm and politely request you do not enter any buildings unless accompanied by someone on site. We want you to enjoy your stay here so please ask any questions you may have in order for us to help before you check out. We can fix most things and are happy to assist in any way we can. Guest access Free Parking for numerous cars. Guest outside space for morning coffee or eating out in the summer months. Communal entrance for boots, hats and coats. We do encourage guests to walk around and see the animals but access into any of the farm buildings/barns is strictly prohibited. We have storage available for bikes, canoes, kayaks, small boats and trailers if visiting for summer fun on the Solent or next door at Fairthorne Manor with craft hire and slipway and direct river and lake access. Children are welcome to make use of the garden to burn off some energy and go carts and plenty of toys to play with. Other things to note 1. It is possible to check in later. The times we have are guidelines but respect for any other guests staying is a must. 2. Vaporisers or smoking in the barn is strictly prohibited. 3. We have a very friendly cat. 4. We are a working farm and farming duties have to take place daily, but heavy/noisy work should not start before 9am. If we have to under emergencies we will endeavour to let you know but your understanding of the surroundings will be appreciated. 5. Feeding of the animals is strictly forbidden unless supervised by someone on site. Please do not be tempted to feed the animals with anything other than what we give you. Normal foods can be very harmful to the animals.
