Holiday Haven. We are now offering you a chance to enjoy the Ashbrittle experience in a safe, private environment and self catering basis. Comfortable house in an area popular with dog walkers, nature lovers and horse riders. A quiet garden, with space to relax. The lounge window provides a Magnificent South facing, panoramic view of the Blackdown Hills, and the Somerset Sunrise, across the valley to Wellington Monument and the Devon border. The space Charming Quirky Bungalow, owned by a local Artist. Abundant flora and fauna in this rural, peaceful hamlet of Ashbrittle. Dark sky area, perfect for Stargazers. The property is on a No Through road so traffic noise is minimal (unless the local farmers are working in the surrounding fields) so you can enjoy the tranquility of country life, in this peaceful area. On the doorstep of Exmoor and one hours drive from Dartmoor. Coastal Towns North, South and West are within a comfortable distance for a day trip. Come prepared with all the groceries you need, as Ashbrittle is not close to a supermarket. There is a small friendly Village shop in Appley. Guest access The whole of the lower floor is available to guests, along with a fenced back garden. The Somerset Sunrise can be viewed in comfort from the front room window. Supermarkets in the surrounding towns of Wellington and Tiverton are happy to deliver groceries ordered online. The local village shop is open 9 to 5 weekdays and limited hours at weekends. Please let us know if you have any needs that we can help with i.e. needing some heating in August as your mobility is not good. Or if you need extra towels, pillows or blankets for example. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. If you have booked an extra guest you will find a single bed on the mezzanine (landing) so you can spread out. Or there is a trundle bed under the double bed. If you require dates that don't appear available please feel free to ask. Other things to note There is an Ancient Yew Tree of particular historical interest in the Churchyard. Ashbrittle is within the area of the 10 Parishes Festival and Somerset Open Studios Arts Events. There are plenty of popular Surfing beaches on the North or South Coast which can be visited for day trips. Ashbrittle is also on the Sustrans Cycle Route 3, which has plenty of scenic (hilly) bike rides in the locality.
