The Manoir de la Basse-Cour is a charming 4-room Bed & Breakfast housed in a 15th century Manor House. Each of the 4 rooms has been carefully and elegantly restored. With plenty of outdoor space and a heated outdoor swimming pool the manoir is the perfect resting place for a rural retreat or overnight stay. The onsite bar offers a wonderful selection of cocktails and treats make it the ideal place to stay for any journey to the Sarthe region The space SIGNATURE TWIN ROOM: Charming and intimate rooms with luxury details, our twin rooms are perfect for a unique escape. Each twin room sleeps up 2 with 2 single beds and a private en-suite with shower. With original features and hard-carved beds, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities and free high-speed Wi-FI you will find everything you need in our Signature Twin Room. Please note, all of our twin rooms are located on the 2nd floor. These rooms are not suitable for guests with mobility issues due to their location and access via a narrow original feature turret. Our Family Room and Deluxe Double rooms are located on the 1st floor with easier access. Good to know in advance: We are often asked if the 2 single beds can be pushed together to create a double bed setup... we cannot push the beds together to due to the shape of the hand carved wooden bed frames. Due to the wooden flooring in the room, we kindly ask guests to refrain from trying to do so during their stay. Shared outdoor heated pool. Open May-September. The property is home to the ‘Manoir de la Basse Cour”, a 15th century manor house which houses 4 luxury bed and breakfast rooms as well as the “Gites de la Basse-cour” which are 3 self-contained gîtes set at the back of the property. The Basse-cour is a family-run business owned by an English family who left the UK behind for the beautiful Pays de la Loire countryside in 2006. The Basse Cour property has been lovingly restored ever since, culminating with the manoir renovation is 2018. A traditional French village, Asnières offered a small peace of heaven to the family who were looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. The pure charm and beauty of the village won them over instantly, and the property, with its view to the river and glorious grounds, felt like home.
