Located on Seto inlands "dream island" our guesthouse welcomes guests of all ages. Beach, expansive balcony, bbq area, well stocked kitchen with small pantry to buy basic local products and tons of common space await travelers looking to experience another side of Japan. Private modern Japanese style room with memory foam mattresses, ocean views and organic cotton covers. We have information on hikes, cultural excursions, the art islands of Naoshima, Teshima, culinary adventures, etc. The space Bright and uplifting, simple and modern Japanese style rooms are perfect for friends or couples looking for a slice of tranquility with gorgeous ocean views. They also feature tatami floors and memory-foam mattresses. -Showers and toilets shared by all guests -Towels included -Free coffee, tea and Japanese tea in the common kitchen Guest access Common space, showers, bath (for families at a small additional cost), snorkel and mask, bbqs (small additional cost, please reserve in advance) and private beach access. During your stay We love our guests and are happy to hang out (we live in a different wing of the same building). Our property is such a relaxed place that people often want to just absorb the atmosphere on their own pace, so we are not pushy at all. If people want to be social with us and other guests, wonderful, if people want some quiet time, also wonderful. Other things to note -We are located up a steep staircase (50 steps) from the road, if you have trouble walking up stairs, our guesthouse may not be right for you. -We are located in the forest, and in the forest, there are all types of bugs and cute creatures from spring to autumn. If you are squeamish, our guesthouse may not be right for you. -Because of our remote location, there are only 4 buses a day that go directly to our guesthouse. There are no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby, so if you want to cook for yourself, please shop before you come, or make use of our well-stocked guest kitchen where we have basic, locally sourced ingredients and ready made meals and alcohol for sale. Home made bread and rice balls are available for breakfast, please order when you check in. -If you want to use BBQ grill, please book in advance. --We are not good base for visiting Naoshima, Teshima for a day trip.
