WELCOME to Nans place! The home with history and a heart is quite literal - it was my nanas home & garden that she adored. Here today the vintage era embraces up-to-date touches throughout this almost 100 year old home where we offer attractive, comfortable accomodation in a unique kind of way! Park inside the property and shut the gate. Our cottage is centrally located on the main road into the city centre, hospital or a variety of great places to visit. The space This quaint, cute, comfortable, spacious and well equipped cottage is only minutes from the town centre and also some of Rotoruas fantastic places to visit and things to do. The home is surrounded by gardens, some NZ native trees and a variety of fruit trees. Relax in the large lounge which has an array of games, puzzles, books and various games for those that want an "old fashioned" chill out time. Colourful , compact and well equipped kitchen. 2 bedrooms offering a queen and twin beds with cosy and attractive bed linens. The bathroom has renovated early 2025 with a large single shower box and good ventilation and heating. At the front entrance the conservatory means that you can leave raincoats, shoes etc at the coat stand and the rear side is a small north facing deck. After a fabulous day exploring Rotorua or dining in one of the many eateries youn will find Nans Place is a really great place to chill out and relax! Guest access During your stay you will have exclusive use of two bedrooms. On your arrival you will use the lockbox (code sent just prior) to do a self check in. We may need to catch up with mowing the lawns or do a tidy up in the garden but apart from a quick hello if you are around we will not disturb your stay. During the Spring-Autumn seasons we hope you enjoy the gardens and the fresh fruit (sprayfree). Other things to note Nans Place is on the main road directly into the City Centre via the fabulous Lakefront or the hospital entrance. The bike trail is literally just outside the door! Because this is a main road in and out of the City we have had some windows double glazed and we have block out blinds to ensure your stay is a comfy as possible. There is a well placed, large capacity Floor heat pump and a seperate fin heater. Unlimited ultra fast wifi. Parking for 2 small vehicles or a van can park easily on the inside drive way. If visitors come, you are free to leave the gates open and they park directly behind your vehicle. Off street parking is not a good option due to the busy main road.
