Description

Exceptionally located, this modern home is full of light with spectacular views of Table Mountain. You feel like you have the mountain and nature to yourself, and you are a minute away from Kloof Street & 2 mins to Camps Bay and beaches. Perfect for couples or small families, it has a serious mezzanine kitchen, with double volume living space below with floor to ceiling glass gazing out at an uninterrupted view of Table Mountain with French doors that open onto the lush garden, deck and pool. The space There are two well appointed bedrooms with their own bathrooms and balconies with magnificent views. The house is built on 4 floors. The top floor has Bedroom 2, with its own bathroom and balcony. The second floor is where you enter at street and garage level. There is a beautiful Bedroom 1 with bathroom and balcony on this level. Next is the 3rd mezzanine level with the well-equipped kitchen and large dining table. Carry on down the stairs and you are in the lounge and living space. Here double volume windows allow the light to shine in from the East and open out onto a pool, deck and nature. This is a house to live in and love. It's like being in an enormous sexy hotel suite that you don't want to leave. The mornings are gentle with the sound of birds and a bush shrike if you are lucky. The house stays very cool as the day heats up, and is wonderful to come home to, after a hot day out and about. The evenings are delicious, cook and dine outside, and enjoy the fantastic sunsets as Table Mountain turns a soft pink hue. You are also a very quick Uber ride away from more excitement in the city if you are in the mood. Guest access You will have the whole house to yourself. There is parking for two cars in the garage, and you can enter the house securely from there. There is also a great street entrance for guests. Other things to note The house is on 4 floors. It has long staircases with very handy balustrades, and depending on the ages of your children and what they are used to - should be fine for most. That said, we do have wooden rails that we can affix to the balustrades to make it more child friendly - this is what we did with our twins as they grew. The rails are on hand, so you could just secure them once you arrive and decide what makes sense for you. There are also great local companies that rent out feeding chairs, camper cots, car seats and prams online. Really helpful for parents especially if you are travelling by air. Pam our housekeeper and nanny knows and loves our house. She comes on Mondays - Fridays from 9am-4pm, and her hours for this are included in the rate. While she is there, Pam will tidy, clean and do laundry and ironing for you, should you wish. Pam is also a very experienced nanny, she helped me w my twins from newborn. She really knows and loves babies and children. She is available for babysitting according to her calendar and rates, outside of Monday to Fridays 9am-4pm. If you do not require a housekeeper every day then you can let us know what you prefer. Strictly no other housekeeping staff are allowed at the house. If needs be, please consult with us.
