Solbakken Microhouse

The micro house is located in peaceful and scenic surroundings in Solbakken farmyard on Os. In front of the house is Gallery Solbakkestova with its associated sculpture garden that is always open to the public. Around the house goats graze, and you have a view of some free-range chickens, and some alpacas on the other side of the road. The house has terraces on both sides, where it is lovely to sit and take in the surroundings and feel the peace. There are also great hiking trails nearby. The space The micro house is located in a rural area, but is still only 3 km away from Osøyro city center, and 30 km away from Bergen city. Walking and cycling paths pass by, and hiking trails up the mountain start 100 meters away from the home. There is a short distance to the bus, shop, a number of hiking trails, the coastline and the city center with shops, restaurants and bars. The micro-house was completed in August 2021. The architect behind Mikrohuset is Oddvar Lyssand. The building itself is set up and decorated by the artist Arne Mæland. Guest access Sculpture garden with benches and tables where you can relax.
