Peterson's Oak apartment

This house is like a return to childhood, when summers were unimaginable without visiting the countryside. Freedom and nature! You can walk barefoot on the grass, the big oak and the yew tree on the other side of the house provide a pleasant shade, but the birds are so loud in the mornings that you can't help but listen! And every evening swim! Here, in Saulkrasti Zvejniekciems, the sea is just half a kilometer away. The space The house, which is named "Saulītes", keeps its history. It was built by a brave seafarer, but the land here was bought from a nearby landowner. The year of construction, 1930, is visible on the foundations of the eastern side. In 2019, when the renovation of the house began, much had suffered from the ravages of time. As much as possible, the ancient values have been preserved. Here there is a sincere simplicity, where the old coexists with the new. The renovated wooden sideboards, tables and shelves are very friendly to the new furniture and appliances, including a dishwasher, telephone and internet. The well and the outdoor toilet are not offended at all that the house now has a water supply, shower rooms and toilets. The old windows and doors have been restored, as well as the barn, which now looks like a work of art. Instead, both apartments have heating devices – one has a fireplace, the other a Jotul stove, which will warm the rooms to a pleasant cozy temperature in the wetter weather. As in the past, the old wooden ceilings and floors are still here, although the floorboards are a bit uneven and "decorated" with wormholes. It is said that people pay a lot of money to get such ornaments in their interior... Guests can choose which of the two apartments they want. Or the Oak apartment, because the oak tree is right at the doorstep. Or the Cypress apartment, named in honor of the heroic cypress tree that fell down after a severe storm, but was saved by people and now stubbornly points its sharp top towards the sky. Both apartments are equally comfortably furnished with a double bed and a double sofa bed. Each has its own wooden terrace where you can have a meal and spend time in pleasant conversations. Guest access The house is surrounded by about five thousand square meters of wide territory with large trees and other plantations. It is separated from the road by a wooded strip, protecting from unnecessary noise, dust caused by motorists and curious glances of passers-by. The guest parking lot is located behind a closed gate. The apartments are accessible by comfortable wooden walkways, which are also quite suitable for sunbathing. But the most important thing is the spirit of the house, and believe it or not, it is full of kindness here. The house awaits every kind guest with open arms!
