Grey Lynn - close to city, walk everywhere

Comfortable double bedroom & lovely modern main bathroom (not en suite) for your private use. Welcoming family home in Auckland's trendy Grey Lynn. Walk everywhere - 2 mins to local cafes & supermarket in Grey Lynn village; 10 mins to the cafes, restaurants and bars of Ponsonby Rd; 35 mins walk to downtown. Or, buses leave every few mins around corner. Beautiful covered deck area to relax in. Free parking nearby. The space Your bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed, cotton linen and duvet cover, wardrobe with hangers, shelving unit to store bags etc and chest of drawers. We have block out curtains and a blind to help you get a good sleep at any time of the day or night. This is a lovely, informal, relaxed space. The property is elevated so there is a great view from the front of the house across the rooftops of Grey Lynn to the Sky Tower in the central city. Parking: In our street outside our house - 2 hours maximum Monday-Friday 8am-6pm. No time limit during evenings and weekends. One block away on our street there is free parking all the time - no time limit. We have a very friendly golden retriever - Nadia - and a cat, Sabrina. Guest access We'll do our best to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Nick and Kathy work from home so we are often around in case you need advice but will give you your space too. You can access the communal living area and outside covered deck and the main bathroom. The living area is shared with us. You're welcome to have your breakfast in the kitchen or on the outside table on the deck in good weather. During your stay One of us will be available to let you in and get you settled. If for some reason we can't be here, we'll make sure you have everything you need to get in and get started. If you're likely to arrive at our house after 10pm then we will try to accommodate you but please let us know. Other things to note We have 2 bathrooms - so you have almost exclusive access to the main bathroom. There is a 24-hour laundromat 3 minutes walk away (we'll give you directions and provide washing powder). You can do several loads of washing at the same time and then dry it all together quite quickly and cheaply in one of the very large dryers. It costs $4 for one wash. Around half the machines take 2 x $2 coins and the other half take tokens available from the dairy 2 doors down from the laundromat. Dryer tokens are $1 each (for 5 minutes). Your washing will probably be dry after about 25 minutes in these dryers.
