Located just over two hours from Sydney & featuring extensive views of the beautiful Kanimbla Valley, our historic sandstone cottage is the perfect place for a romantic weekend or relaxing getaway with friends. Set in an established cottage garden, our farm is home to native animals & birds. Enjoy wandering our 12 acres, visiting beautiful Mayfield Gardens, eating a pub lunch or sampling local markets. Only 30 mins from the attractions of the Blue Mountains & gateway to the Central West. The space Breakfast hamper and welcome bottle of wine included with your stay. **Pricing for 2 guests allows private access to the main cottage with double bedroom, kitchen, lounge room, sun room and main bathroom, outdoor areas and grounds. Pricing for 3-4 guests allows access to the King suite. The King suite is never rented separately to the main house.** The Kitchen With spectacular views from the kitchen windows, this light filled space features everything you need to cook a country breakfast or gourmet dinner. Smeg gas stove top and electric oven Nespresso coffee machine Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar. Salt/pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a range of herbs and spices. Spring water for drinking. Fridge/freezer. Wine, champagne and water glasses. Fully equipped with cookware, utensils, flatware, rice cooker, blender, sandwich press and slow cooker. Combustion fire place. Lounge room Relax in front of the open fire, enjoy free to air tv or your own streaming service via Google Chromecast, watch a DVD/blu-ray, read a book from our sunroom library or play a board game in this cosy space. Sunroom This light filled living area features a day bed with French doors opening to a covered stone patio and rear gardens. Double bedroom Complete with linen this room features spectacular views of the valley and a heater for cooler nights. Please note the fireplace in the double bedroom is not operational. Main bathroom With a shower, toilet and basin this large space has glass doors that open to the entertaining terrace and side gardens. Towels, hand towels and a bathmat are provided. Please note the fireplace in the bathroom is not operational. The King Suite (Access with booking for 3-4 guests) Complete with its own ensuite and kitchenette, the king suite is accessed via a well lit, covered walkway from the main cottage. It comes with it's own key and private access. The kitchenette comes complete with a kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. It is well equipped with coffee mugs, flatware, utensils and drinking glasses. Spring water for drinking. This light filled space opens to the rear gardens via French doors. Bed linen and towels are provided. An oil heater is available for cooler nights. Outdoor entertaining Our front verandah features long bench seating and bistro seating for 2, ideal for a morning coffee or sunset drinks. Our side terrace features an outdoor dining table, chairs and a BBQ - the perfect place to enjoy a long lunch or dinner in the warmer months. The gardens Our cottage gardens are beautiful in every season! Dahlias, lilies and hyrdrangeas bloom in summer and are replaced by spectacular colour on the Japanese maples in Autumn. Hellebores flower through the frost and snow of Winter giving way to a spectacular show of Spring colour when the jonquils and daffodils bloom May to September. In October enjoy the beautiful fragrance of the wisteria covered front verandah. The farm Wander up past the old stables and through the gate to enjoy a walk through the Australian bush. Explore further past the dam to spot kangaroos, echidnas, wombats, kookaburras, cockatoos and king parrots. Guest access Private use of the cottage and 12 acres. ***Pricing for 2 guests allows access to the main cottage with double bedroom, kitchen, lounge, sunroom and main bathroom. King suite access is available with booking for 3-4 guests*** King suite is adjacent to main house and accessed via a covered walkway and private entrance. It comes complete with ensuite and tea/coffee facilities. Please note, our cottage is located on a ridge line approximately 1100 metres above sea level. Cold and windy conditions can occur at any time of the year, along with frost and snow in the winter months. The weather conditions can be variable, even in the warmer months, and often very different to those experienced in Sydney. Please consider the weather forecast for Hampton, NSW prior to your visit and come prepared with warm waterproof clothing, sleepwear and footwear to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
