The main entrance provides access leading into your spacious lounge and dining area. Martinsell Manor, a historical, stately, stone building is set on 77 acres in beautiful surroundings .The impressive guest suites have recently been renovated and include high ceilings, quality Georgian and Chippendale furniture, and Persian carpets on polished floors. The space A magnificent piece of South Australian history, this turn of the century home has played host to some prominent Australian and international aristocrats, politicians and business people. The grand rooms (Gold or Regency room) and opulent architecture give glimpses of a bygone era. Adelaide's Ashburton Design has seamlessly blended the old world charm with his colours and furnishings, to make a beautiful and elegant environment. The private accommodation can be rented as a whole area with the flexibility of booking one (2 guests) or two bedrooms (3-4 guests). A getaway for yourself, your partner, friends or adult family. Note: not suitable for infants and young children. We also do not conduct weddings. Guest access Guests have access to the rose gardens, sweeping lawns and nature walks among majestic old English trees and ancient Australian red gums as well as a 25 metre swimming pool. The property is set on farmland and grapevines surrounded by rolling hills and walking trails. Other things to note Martinsell is approximately one hour drive from Adelaide, and 8km from Williamstown, off the Springton Road. There is a general store, hotel and bakery in Williamstown - your last port of call for any provisions. The nearest large supermarket is about 30 minutes' drive. There is a small kitchenette with a ceramic hotplate, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge for the preparation of light meals. Shower in our soft rainwater provided to the Manor, whilst the outside water is supplied from our spring. ***VERY IMPORTANT*** Martinsell is listed as an "entire place" please note that only downstairs of the manor is available for guest accommodation in only one or two of the suites, while the upstairs of the manor is private.
