Plowden Carriage has been converted retaining as many of the original features as possible Plowden is situated looking out towards views of the Shropshire AONB & Wales. Plowden has a double bed, seating/dining area and a basic Kitchen with cold running water, sink, fridge/freezer, Air fryer and induction hob. Toilet/ Shower facilities are shared with the Campsite a 2 minute walk away. Showers require 50p coins. Duvets and Pillows are provided but you will need to bring linen. Dogs welcome. The space Plowden is one of three Carriages on the campsite. It is the carriage on the left as you enter the field. Plowden is situated to make to most of the uninterrupted views over the Welsh Marshes to the hill-scapes beyond. You are welcome to park next to the carriage on the grass, should the weather be very wet - there is hardstanding on site that you will be advised to use. The carriage is a one, open planned room design. With fixed raised double bed, TV seating a dining space and a basic kitchen with cold running water, fridge, hob, and airfryer. Bathroom facilities are a minutes walk away and shared with the campsite. Showers require 5op coins. 50p= 4 minutes. Please note Duvets and Pillows are provided but you will need to bring your own bed linen and towels. Shropshire Way Footpath The footpath runs behind the main house and through two fields to Bishops Castle - It is a ten minute walk into town. Guest access Plowden Railway carriage is situated on Foxholes Campsite, Montgomery Road, Sy9 5ha. It is best to search the campsite location rather than used our postcode for directions. Just ring the bell at the main house at the top of the drive when you arrive, and we will show you to the carriage. There are no locked gates on site, so feel free to come and go as you please.
