IKKŌ 10 is one of three newly renovated vacation rental properties located in a tranquil setting just to the east of the Kamo River and minutes walk to UNESCO World Heritage site Kiyomizu-dera. This stylish Kyoto home was designed by an international team with a meticulous eye for detail. You will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The space Overview : Wonderful location, artful interior design, and full of all the modern comforts you’d expect for a contemporary villa, Ikkō 10 is a dream machiya with endless appeal. Ikkō 10’s location is just one of its many strong points; the house is located in a tranquil setting just to the east of the Kamo River and minutes walk to the UNESCO World Heritage site Kiyomizu-dera. With a clear Kyoto charm woven throughout the design of Ikkō 10, this two-bedroom, five-person-capacity, traditional Japanese home will ensure your time in Kyoto is unforgettable. The home’s layout has been meticulously considered to allow guests to feel a sense of flow and feel cozy and intimate, with the living quarters on the ground floor and the sleeping quarters on the second floor. Although the house is completely independent, it’s neighboured by two similar houses, each with a slightly different appeal, Ikkō 8 and Ikkō 9. If guests prefer, these three houses can be booked together to make an ideal accommodation option for large traveling groups, like tours, study groups, and work retreats. However, they’re each completely independent and self-contained, offering the ultimate privacy. Flexible and modern but with traditional elegance, Ikkō 10 is a holiday home you won’t forget. Description of the facility : With two bedrooms, this five-person-capacity home is flexible and can adapt to the needs of its guests whether they’re small families on vacation or traveling couples. With the ability to take over the other two adjacent neighboring properties, Ikkō 8 and Ikkō 9, it has the potential to be an ideal facility for traveling groups of up to 15 people, like tours, study groups, and work retreats. The first floor of Ikkō 10 is dedicated to multi-purpose living. It’s here you’ll find the entertaining space, dining room, and kitchen. This area also features a sofa bed, which can transform the corner of the room into a new bedroom perfect for families and guests. This main floor space is decked out in a modern, sleek design with streamlined furniture, light wood, and a tidy kitchen making the room feel spacious and laid back, with an effortless sense of flow. The dining area features a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining table. On the far end of the living space, between the kitchen and entrance, are sliding Japanese-style doors reminiscent of traditional shoji, a timeless taste of the beauty of old Japan. On the second floor of the property are two separate bedrooms, each with its unique style and appeal. There’s a master bedroom boasting two single beds dressed in stylish linens. These beds could be pushed together to create a spacious king-size bed if guests so desire. The second room is a multi-purpose room that offers a lot of flexibility. It could also be utilized as a second living space, as the bed is an L-shaped sofa that can transform into a second double bed, making it a great option for travelers with children. During the day, guests could also utilize this second bedroom space as a reading room or could even turn this room into an impromptu yoga studio. Perfect for those looking for a longer-term destination to set up a home base when exploring Kyoto, Ikkō 10 also has all the additional everyday amenities and complete laundry facilities, including ironing equipment to ensure your stay is effortlessly comfortable.
