Description
Stretch out in bed and look out for miles across peaceful rolling hills with nothing but sheep, trees, and birds. This gypsy vardo bow topped caravan has been built and renovated by the artist owners on an original 1920s frame. It's full of hand-carved and painted details, gold leaf, brocade and brass, with no expense spared. Step out into your own wild garden and relax or wander further around car free paths and roads in the surrounding landscape. The space Staying in this space is like living in a jewel box. This caravan has been built by the artist owners on a large 1920s heavy horse cart, so even if you are 6' 6" you can stand up and stretch out! Sit back, light a fire in the wood-burner, cosy up in bed and read a book, drink some wine, play a games or snooze in a super comfy bed and do absolutely nothing! We have also built a wooden bow topped cabin for the kitchen with stunning views through the trees over the Cambrian mountains. Set at around 200m altitude the space looks over rolling hills and woodland. You can also see the mountain Cader Idris from here. There is separate compost loo set a short distance from the wagon with a stunning view, also a shower in its own separate shed. There is also also a freestanding woodfired sauna and natural plunge pool onsite that you can use on request. We charge an extra £20 for this to cover running costs. Set on our isolated smallholding looking out over the mountains, you hear no traffic, just birds, wind and the rustling of interesting creative projects. You can take many different walks from here into the surrounding hills or venture further to mountains wild swimming and beaches only 20mins away. Machynlleth an ancient small town is 10 minutes drive for shops, with a market on Wednesday. There are also mountain bike circuits and plenty of wild tracks nearby. Bring all the food you might need as once here you wont want to burst the bubble by having to go shopping! Guest access You park in our farmyard and walk 100m or so down a green lane to get to the caravan. It is completely isolated, but we are not so far away if you need anything. You are welcome to wander throughout the four acres of gardens orchards and trees here as well as exploring the adjacent 800 hectare common and surrounding landscape. There are plenty of great walks and rights of way just ask us for directions. We provide maps for your use. There is also a new self contained shower hut for the space. We also have an amazing SAUNA on the hill with a huge plunge pool which can be fired up by prior arrangement (supplement £20 to cover running costs) Other things to note This is sheep country and its a small space which we would prefer to keep hair/alergy free, so sorry no dogs please.
