Wake up and fall asleep to the sounds of a gently moving stream, nature around you and a light breeze rustling the leaves. Take a walk through the woods, with views of ash and beech groves, vast nearby fields and catch a glimpse of Canadarago Lake. Take some time and sit next to the stream or lie in the hammock relaxing, reading or meditating. Enjoy a picnic in the field, by the stream or in the nook among the trees. At night, sit atop the field in lovely Adirondack chairs to watch the sunset over the hills just as the fireflies emerge in the waning light. Look for the centuries old rhubarb patch, admire apple and pear trees from the 20th-century orchard that lies under a hedgerow of towering pines. Rest and relax in the fully furnished 20 foot Lotus Bell tent boasting a queen-sized memory foam bed, bistro tables indoors and outdoors for meals, choose from several books to read as you laze around, play games by evening candlelight and put your worries aside while visiting this exclusive campsite. With 314 square feet of space, this Lotus Belle tent is huge. Guests can access all amenities including the surrounding areas and natural features. These include the surrounding trails through the woods, a large field, stream, fire pit, bbq grill and outdoor dining area, sunset spot, hammock, real outhouse with a sink and outdoor cedar wood solar shower (see picture - no shower tent here). A pond is also adjacent to the site and can be enjoyed. A walking trail through the field is accessible from the entrance of the tent. The hosts are available whenever needed by phone, text or Airbnb messaging. Azure Arts pottery studio is located on-site offering an Airbnb experience as well as other workshops and classes. Lovely day trips await in nearby Cooperstown known for the Baseball Hall of Fame, Doubleday Field, Dreamspark, the Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers' Museum. Imbibe some local craft brew at one of the 7 breweries within 15 miles of including Ommegang, Red Shed Breweries in Middlefield and Cherry Valley, Council Rock, High Burl, Heelpath Brewing and Iron Rock. Dine out on Otsego Lake at The Blue Mingo Grill, the historically recognized Otesaga Hotel's Hawkeye Grill or some of the best food by chefs at Mel's at 22 or Alex's World Bistro. We are located in a rural area and a car is necessary for transportation to local towns and cities. Parking is included and a short walk down a hill the lotus bell tent site. The outhouse and shower are easily accessible from the tent and parking area. All main paths are lit, as well as around the tent site. The steam and other amenities can be easily accessed from the entrance of the lotus bell tent. Ample signage help visitors find each area of the site.
