The house is located in Pentamodi which is a hospitable and traditional village 15 km away from the city of Heraklion and the airport Nikos Kazantzakis. The village has a mini market for basic supplies, a traditional coffee shop and the traditional Cretan tavern that offers delicious food at very cheap prices. In addition, the village has a folklore museum, which can be visited by appointment, beautiful walking trails and a park with a playground. The space The house is 76m2, ground floor, with private entrance. It is located on the main road of the village and has a large sunny courtyard (42m2) with flowers, ideal to enjoy the tranquility offered by the village. The house has two bedrooms, a toilet, a fully equipped kitchen and a large living room. The first bedroom has a large double bed, TV, fan, large closet and storage space. The second bedroom has two bunk beds, a TV, a fan and a large closet. The toilet is fully equipped with shower, washing machine, towels and hairdryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, oven with stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, table with chairs and everything a kitchen needs. The living room has air-conditioning, a three-seater and a two-seater sofa that becomes beds, large TV, table with 6 chairs and board games. The house has WIFI internet in all areas of the house for free. The guest can relax in the sunny garden which is 40m2 with flowers and there is a gazebo with bamboo lounge, outdoor dining area and barbecue. Parking is free, in front of the house, in the public road. Guest access The house is located in the main road of the village and for this reason you can find it easily with your car. You can park your car in front of the house, in the public road. Parking is FREE . Other things to note Information about tha Villa The Villa has clean and neat interior spaces which, in combination with the nature, provides security and tranquility. The outdoor spaces are perfect for sunny summer days and romantic nights that never end! You can enjoy hiking and you can visit the neighboring villages. If you prefer the sea you can visit the beach of Ammoudara, Paleokastro, Ligaria or Agia Pelagia with car in about 20 minutes. We'll glad to guide you at your activites. Information about the neighbohood In the village there are historical momuments and the residents are distinguished for their hospitality and sociability. In the village, someone can visit the taverns and taste traditional dishes and the café, for coffee, drinks and delicious snacks. Furthermore, there is a small market in the center of the village in which someone can buy fruits, vegetables, wines, cheese, honey, raki, fresh bread and various local products. All have received excellent reviews! In the surroundings, amazing taverns complete the culinary possibilities. The village's streets preserve the old way of town planning with the alleys and the many stone houses. The village and the outdoors are ideal for nature lovers and walking. Since someone has the ability to be in the bustling Heraklion in a few minutes, that makes Pendamodi a unique destination for locals and foreigners alike! Visit Voutes for shops with excellent delicacies and local butchers for meat and cheese. Also, in the way to Heraklion, after ΠΑΓΝΗ (the biggest hospital of the Heraklion, which is almost 7km away from our house) there is also a bakery and a shop with organic products! In the village there is the churches of St. Nikolas, St Mathew and the St. Paraskevi while at a distance of 5 km is the monastery of Gorgolaini. Also,at the distance of 3 km is the church of Ag. Myron and the cave where the saint lived, which can be visited easily. Also, the village has a strong cultural character and in the summer there are traditional music events with Cretan dances in the surrounding area (which due to the COVID pandemic have been limited).
