The village of Petrognano stretches over the green hills with vineyards around the road that leads from Barberino to Certaldo. It is a cluster of old scattered houses, but if we look closely we see stone towers, with elegant and finely decorated arches and medieval towers lost in the countryside. Petrognano is none other than the village of a city that disappeared with the name Semifonte mentioned by Dante in the 16th canto of Paradise: 'Fiorenza go beyond, Semifon become a city'. On the farm is located the ancient Parish Church of S. Pietro reduced to a simple chapel. Rich in vegetation and wide valleys, the farm is the ideal place to spend wonderful moments immersed in the pleasures of unspoiled nature. The company offers hospitality in an apartment away from the main road, rustic furnishings, carefully renovated by the owners in order to leave the ancient features of the past intact. Guest access At the Fattoria Semifonte farmhouse, in the wide spaces of our courtyard you can relax with your family and friends, spending beautiful days surrounded by the enchanting view of the rolling Chianti hills. Surrounded by olive trees and centuries-old trees, away from the main road, the farmhouse offers leisure equipment, children's games, a volleyball court and a swimming pool. You can sip cool drinks on hot summer days under the shade of our gazebos or you can have your favorite breakfast in the morning on one of the tables available in front of a splendid view. In addition, upon request, we can organize “Barbecue” evenings in front of the beautiful sunsets of Petrognano.
