It's a very comfortable mountain escape, now with a new conservatory to enjoy the awesome, mountain views! Nyth-y-Gigfran (Raven's Nest) takes it's name from the mountain it sits directly beneath. Ideally suited for those seeking to find adventure literally starting from the very doorstep. A newly, totally refurbished miners cottage located in dramatic Snowdonia mountain scenery. It has been designed with every home comfort in mind to provide stylish, luxury, cozy, accommodation with particular attention to detail. Hillwalking and fell running abounds from the very doorstep - a labyrinth of footpaths with the choice of many, thoroughly off the beaten track (for the more experienced hillwalker), lead from out of the door directly onto the surrounding mountainsides and take you into some of the best Snowdonia National Park areas, well away from the crowds. There is literally a footpath opposite the front door for starters and another that passes the cottage, which lead to many more! Walk through the front door into the spacious living room with a very deep, comfy 3 seater sofa and armchair around the beautiful, restored, original cast iron range. An open fire can be built in it and has a large fireguard for protection (however the ovens are not to be used). The oak dining table seats 3. Whether you're at the dining table or relaxing on the sofa you can enjoy the 55" smart tv anywhere in the room - perfect for Netflix! All joinery throughout the cottage is bespoke. The highlight being the stunning glass and oak staircase with oak hand turned newel posts, bannisters and panelling. The stylish kitchen, all brand new with amazing mountains views from the french doors, now has the recent addition of a wonderful conservatory, ideal for soaking up the mountain views and from here a door leads out into the back garden. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, fan oven and extractor hood. A lovely pine stable door connects into the living room. The newly built shower room is fully tiled with rainfall shower and waterfall tap and 2 towel rails. The airy, light, spacious double bedroom has plenty of storage. The single bedroom has a daybed, which can also be used as a dressing room with superb mountain views. Throughout the whole cottage, there are options for your choice of lighting to set the mood. Centrally heated throughout and superfast WiFi. Linen and T-towels provided. Bath and hand towels not provided, guests are to bring their own, thank you. The back garden has a stunning mountain panorama backdrop. Quite awesome even in a raging storm when waterfalls galore present themselves! And the scenery can be enjoyed from the comfort of the conservatory too! Nyth-y-Gigfran is the perfect spot for relaxing and unwinding after a full on energetic day of adventure and exploration. Please note... PLEASE READ THE HOUSE RULES BEFORE BOOKING: Sorry, no pets allowed at this property and unsuitable for children under the age of 13, due to the hard surfaces, glass and open fire. This includes infants. (We classify infants as babes in arms, infants are not toddlers). Check in any time after 4pm. Thank you. 1 night stays have a single night supplement applied, £15. This is requested once the booking has been confirmed by the host, using the request function. Guest access Entire cottage with fully enclosed back garden. There is a back gate leading into the private field behind, this is for emergency use only and is to be closed at all times. In summer two horses are often in the field and we ask guests not to feed them. The back garden is now partially landscaped with seating areas to enjoy the stunning mountain scenery. There is still one section that is work in progress and we ask guests not to venture into this area whilst the work is undertaken. Parking for one car is immediately in front of the cottage on the road, just in front of the little slabbed and slate chipped front area. There is also a small parking area opposite the cottage, set back from the road, if you have 2 cars. The road is extremely quiet. Other things to note The check in time cannot be brought forward.
