This private 'compound' is yours to unwind in nature on one of our many trails or take time for you in our wood fired hot tub (seasonally available) and wood fired sauna. Our sanctuary provides freedom and privacy as you connect with the land. WE NEVER CHARGE FOR PETS! The space The Shire is located on a vast 97 acre farm in the Catskill mountains. With beautiful rolling hills, 4 large ponds, and trails through fern covered woods you’ll feel as if you’ve been taking into a fantasy. The price shown is for rental of TWO hobbit cabins situated next to each other. They rest on the edge pond with a great willow tree. Each cabin comes with one bed room, one bathroom, kitchenette, and dining space that can be converted into another queen size bed. Set far away from the road and covering 97 acres you’ll have all the space and privacy you desire. Note: We do have a third hobbit home on the property - set apart from these two cabins to ensure privacy. The Shire lets you be yourself, and recharge. Guest access Along with the access to the property, guests may enjoy our wood fired hot tub and wood fired sauna (we provide the wood), and a campfire pit. The cabins also have their own private propane BBQ for your use. We also have a canoe and kayak to use on our ponds or on Kenoza lake, which is less than a 10 minute drive away. Other things to note These two cabins are close to each other but are located a fair distance away from both a third cabin, and the main house. Privacy is assured.
