Description
A perfect base for cycling trips and walks on the Ashdown Forest, this detached, self contained first floor studio has stunning, uninterrupted views of fields and wildlife from the living area. Enviably situated in the centre of Hartfield village, this accommodation is literally moments away from the famous Pooh Corner, a must for fans of AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh. The space The space is open-plan, quiet and peaceful with a Scandi chalet feel. A mixture of homemade, vintage and new furnishings and fittings create a unique and homely atmosphere. A kettle and Nespresso machine, as well as a variety of teabags and coffee capsules are provided in the kitchen area. You will also find bottled water, oat milk, a fridge and basic crockery and cutlery. There are no cooking facilities so we recommend Pooh Corner, The Gallipot Inn, The Dorset Arms, and The Bear Inn for your lunch and dinner. A complimentary breakfast pack is provided free of charge, consisting of two types of muesli, a loaf of bread, a selection of jams, spread and orange juice. Suitable for vegans. Relax outside with a glass of wine on the vintage bistro furniture, and you may just see a pheasant or even a deer over the fence. The living area has a super comfortable three-seater sofa, perfect for lounging, and a large coffee table, as well as a TV with Freeview. The bathroom is basic, but has a shower, and Faith in Nature body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided, as well as a large soft towel per person staying. The space is ideal for a couple. The space is not suitable for young children because of the open-plan design with no stair gate. There is free on-road parking, as well as two spaces down the drive next to The Lodge. Please note that the drive is steep and the transition from the main road is very sharp, which could scrape the underneath of a car. If your car is at all low to the ground, we recommend you park on the road instead. Guest access Guests have the building to themselves (which is situated about 20 metres from the main house) with their own front door and key.
