The Drake Studio @ Hinton Grange - Eco and Fair

The Drake Studio is set within the grounds of our wonderful home Hinton Grange. Just 15 minutes drive from the wonderful cities of Bath and Bristol. Plus only yards away from an award winning pub! Hinton Grange has been an established place to stay for over 50 years, therefore you can come and stay guilt free; Responsible tourism proud and 100% renewable energy supply to boot! We fell in love with the romance of the place and we are sure you will too. The space The studio itself is an end of terrace, stone-built studio overlooking a pretty duck pond. The space is completely yours and you will have complete privacy, however we live on site so if you need anything please just ask, we are very sociable but will leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace unless you want us! Although a studio, our guests are always pleasantly surprised by how much space you actually get. It is equipped with a kitchen and has a recently renovated shower room with amazing water pressure, something normally difficult to achieve in a rural property. The most unique feature of all our properties is that we have "open fires", there is nothing better than sitting in front of an open fire with the wood crackling and flames dancing. It is impossible to not have a romantic stay away with an open fire in the room. Dedicated Wifi. Guest access You are welcome to wander the majority of the 6 acres of the gardens, the only private area is directly in front of the main house, it is not really about keeping you out but more to do with keeping our animals and the mess associated with them in ;-). We have two dogs of our own but they are never in the wider gardens without us and will not visit your accommodation as they are enclosed in our private garden. We also have 4 geese, 17 Indian runner ducks and countless wild ducks, Moorhens, Deer, Fox (we have reached an understanding with regards to our ducks, I think), Badger, Owls, Bats and a Kingfisher (to name the cute animals in our garden). None of the domesticated animals will visit the area around your accommodation but if you wish to go into the wider gardens and want to avoid the geese, they tend to hang out in front of the main house next to the pond which we prefer to keep private anyway, visit the gardens before 11am as they are housed until then or discuss your requirements with us and we will manage the geese. We also have a separate games wing to include a full size snooker room, table tennis, trampoline and climbing frame which we happily share with our guests and is always open to you. NEW to Hinton Grange is a well stocked fishing lake. The lake has been there since 1970 but we registered it as an official fishing lake with the environment agency in 2020 and stocked it with Roach and Rudd (more species to be added winter 2023). Other things to note We live only a couple of hundred meters from an award winning gastro pub. It is a major advantage to be able to walk to dinner and no one needs to be designated driver!
