This self-catering creative log cabin is private and semi-secluded and is the perfect place to relax, unwind or just for the enjoyment of a private, peaceful holiday. The cabin is ideal for small families, couples, adventurers or friends who love nature, tranquility and the outdoors. The reserve is about 20 minutes from bustling Hermanus, making the location ideal for exploring the greater Overberg and is only about an hour's drive from Cape Town. The space The log cabin provides all the basic comforts necessary for 4 guests. The cabin has a ground floor and a loft area. The ground floor consists of a kitchen area, open plan living area, a bathroom and the master bedroom. The bathroom consists of a shower, basin and toilet. The master bedroom has a double bed and there are 2 single beds in the loft area. The kitchen includes a kettle, fridge, microwave and two-plate oven as well as the basic crockery and cutlery necessary for cooking. The space is perfect for reading, playing board games and relaxing, but the space is ultimately about what you make of it. The cabin has a purpose built outdoor braai/ barbecue (remember to bring braai necessities e.g. wood and braai-grid). Guest access Guests have access to the whole resort, which include the lagoon, tennis courts, swimming pools (one of which is suited for toddlers), jungle gym area, club house (includes table tennis tables and a pool table), and 10 km of beach. As a result of Middlevlei being a private reserve, both the lagoon and beach is unspoiled and never overcrowded. You can bring your own canoe or kayak to enjoy some peace and quiet on the Botrivier lagoon. As a guest, you can come and go as you please, hole up reading in the cabin, cook in or go out to a restaurant. The cabin is at your disposal. Other things to note The cabin is within a 5 minutes' walk to the Botrivier lagoon and the very quiet beach. Guests can also bring their bicycles and respectably explore the area this way. The cabin is fitted with an alarm system. The resort has 24-hour access control and safe parking is available on the property. The house has been lovingly built and developed, and continues to be, but it is a work in progress, so please don't expect sleekness and perfection. It is important to note that the cabin has no TV or WIFI. We provide bedding, but no towels. The cabin is strictly self-catering.
