Surrounded by verdant lawns and magnificent trees with views inviting you across green paddocks and rolling hills to Mount Bathurst and a whole world away, the scenery invites you to relax and be part of this wonderland. Give yourselves a getaway to the historic Brucedale property, a picturesque 15-minute drive north of Bathurst where Brucedale Cottage is your escape from the city, in the Village of Peel. The space ABOUT Just 15 minutes to the nearest towns, yet the peace may have you believing you are miles from anywhere. Across the Blue Mountains ‘Brucedale’ comprises 2700 acres of undulating landscape and straddles Clear Creek and the Winburndale Rivulet. Built in 1864, next to the main homestead, ‘Brucedale Cottage’ is the perfect space to take a break and enjoy the pleasures of ‘Brucedale’ - or use the cottage as your base to explore the region. The ideal retreat for those wishing to take a country walk, picnic or just relaxing and soaking up the beauty of the area. Wander the property and look out for wombats, echidnas and kangaroos. ‘Brucedale Cottage’ is self-contained accommodation for up to two adult guests. The cottage has one Queen bedroom, one bathroom and a slow combustion wood fire in the living room, with wood supplied for the duration of your stay. The historic cottage has a vibrant interior, decorated with a collection of art and artefacts from around the globe. While there is no undercover parking, you can park on the stone drive at the cottage’s doorstep. The cottage has a private northerly facing wide verandah, with outstanding views across the valley – the perfect space for an evening BBQ and to welcome in the night sky by your fire pit under a blanket of stars. The accommodation isn’t available for children or guests wishing to travel with their pets - as ‘Brucedale’ is a working property with stock, working dogs and our own pets, we are not able to offer accommodation for guests wishing to travel with their pets. Mobile reception is only available through Telstra and if you plan to work during your stay, you will need to BYO a Telstra modem or dongle as there is no wi-fi at the cottage. The nightly rate is for up to two guests sharing the Queen bedroom. Other things to note: Bathurst is the oldest inland city in Australia and there are many scenic drives to nearby villages such as O’Connell, Sofala, Hill End, Millthorpe and Carcoar. Guest access Guests have the sole access to Brucedale Cottage and the lawns and garden that surround the Cottage. Other things to note Accommodation is for up to 2 adult guests sharing one Queen bedroom. There is no wifi available at the property. Mobile reception is only available with Telstra. Adult only accommodation - not available for children aged under 12 years, toddlers or infants. Not available for guests travelling with pets.
