Living in a part of Berlin's history - in the basement directly under the Gallerie, more than 40 people fled through a secret tunnel from the GDR to West Berlin. The apartment (55 m²) is located directly on the former course of the Wall in the Treptow-Neukölln-Kreuzberg triangle. Quiet but close to all the cool streets in Neukölln and Kreuzberg. The space In this special apartment, our #GalleryTunnel2Freedom with Berlin history right in the house, you will find a spacious, bright living and dining room, a small kitchen and a bedroom with a cozy double bed (180 x 200 cm) as well as a small work niche with a desk - in case you have to use the computer on vacation. The sofa in the living room can be transformed into a cozy 140 cm bed in a few simple steps, which can accommodate 1-2 more people. In addition, an inviting dining area with chic Italian designer chairs awaits you - here you can enjoy both home-cooked food and take-away from the numerous good restaurants in the vicinity. Formerly a shop, the apartment still has a direct entrance from the quiet street. In summer, you can feel the real Berlin here when you open the windows and talk to passers-by. Frosted glass windows and curtains simultaneously provide the desired privacy. Of course, we provide bed linen and towels. There is also a Qbo capsule machine for coffee and of course the capsules from us. If you want to drink more coffee - or buy anything else to eat or drink - the nearest supermarket is only a 5-minute walk through a small park. The house is located directly on the former Wall and has a special history: one of the "most successful" escape tunnels from East Berlin was dug here in the basement. This is also commemorated by a plaque on the outside of the house and a very special exhibit in the apartment... let yourself be surprised.
